Forgiving a Serial Killer

This is a video of a serial killer under trial in a public court. This was the time when the families of the victims were allowed to say something to the killer. Many of them condemned and criticised him for the killings.

The serial killer stood there stoned face and emotionless, until one man, whose daughter was murdered by him, stood up to address him.
He said, 'There are people here that hate you. I am not one of them. You have made it difficult to live up to what I believe and that is what God says to do and that is to forgive. You are forgiven, Sir!"

He broke down crying after hearing those words. Truly, there is power in forgiveness.
And through this, the love of God is demonstrated well that is, "To forgive our enemies".
God forgave our sins, every sins, let us choose to demonstrate God's love wherever we are. If we need strength, God can help us to forgive because He showed His love to us first by sending His own Son Jesus on the Cross for our sins.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Romans 5:8
"If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you.   But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive the wrongs you have done.Matthew 6:14-15
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.Ephesians 4:31-32
But if we confess our sins to God, he will keep his promise and do what is right: he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing.1 John 1:9
